As vantagens da associação de duas culturas são regidas por princípios fundamentais que incluem fatores fisiológicos, genéticos, nutricionais e econômicos, entre outros. A maior eficiência de alguns sistemas de policultivo, em comparação com as respectivas culturas exclusivas, é explicada com base no fenômeno da "anidação", a qual é conceituada como sendo a utilização dos fatores ambientais pelos componentes do consórcio, de modo que não haja competição no uso desses recursos, ou seja, ocorre uma complementariedade no aproveitamento dos mesmos. |

Poultry manure is used as fertilizer in natura, but little is known about whether it contaminates the soil with pathogenic organisms. The aim of this study was to assess the effects of organic, organomineral and mineral fertilizers on soil contamination by enteric pathogens, using poultry manure as the organic fertilizer. Manure was applied in field experiments at rates of 7.0 ton. ha-1 (maize crop, 2008/2009), 8.0 ton. ha-1 (wheat crop, 2009) and 14 ton. ha-1 (maize crop, 2010/2011). Organomineral fertilizer was applied at the same rates but was comprised of 50% manure and 50% mineral fertilizer. The aim of this study was to evaluate the agronomic performance of maize off-season with foliar application of A. brasilense and broadcast application of N rates. The research was conducted at the Experimental Station of the MT Foundation (17° 09' S, 54° 45' W and altitude of 490 m) in Itiquira, MT, in the off-season of 2013, on a clayey Rhodic Haplustox. The experimental design was in randomized blocks with treatments in a 2 x 5 factorial arrangement (with and without the application of A. brasilense x broadcast application of N rates: 0, 30, 60, 90 and 120 kg ha-1, via urea). ABSTRACT Corn grain yield, nitrogen (N) fertilizer efficiency and distribution to corn alone and three forms of corn and palisadegrass (Urochloa spp.) intercropping implantation was investigated. A field experiment with 15N labeling fertilizer was performed in randomized block design. No form of palisadegrass intercropping implantation affected corn grain yield, total N accumulation and N use efficiency (NUE), which were 8.7 t ha-1, 205 kg ha-1 and 37% respectively. The palisadegrass produced on average 1.9 t of dry mass, absorbing a maximum of 6 kg ha-1 or 5.5% of N fertilizer during corn growing. Furthermore, the palisadegrass did not affect N fertilizer distribution in soil-plant system, in which 28.2% was recovered in the soil and 40.4% in the plants... |

Dejetos de suínos (DS) têm um grande potencial como fertilizante e podem substituir parte ou todo o nitrogênio do adubo mineral (FM), necessários na produção agrícola. No entanto, DS também têm um alto potencial contaminante e devem ser manejados de forma adequada para evitar a poluição ambiental. Modelos de simulação, acoplados a sistemas de apoio à decisão, podem ser ferramentas eficientes para se avaliarem estratégias de manejo sustentável de dejetos. The objective of this work was to evaluate the seed inoculation with Azospirilum brasilense in corn plants under limitation of the water supply. Two assays were carried out in greenhouse conditions, using low nitrogen substrate pots. At first one, corn seeds were inoculated or not with A. brasilense and treated or not with a biostimulant (IBA+GA+KT). At the second experiment, two corn genotypes were inoculated or not with A. brasilense. In both assays, plants were submitted to limited condition of water supply at initial vegetative growth.
